We provide virtual bookkeeping, payroll, and tax return services tailored for small businesses across New Zealand.

3. How do your virtual bookkeeping services work?

Our virtual bookkeeping services are designed to be convenient and efficient. We use secure, cloud-based software to manage your financial records, ensuring they are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory standards.

4. Are there more people in your team?

Yes. Indy is our head bookkeeper & payroll specialist and we contract additional bookkeepers & accountants as needed.

5. Is your team based in NZ?

Of course. We believe that it is important to invest in the quality and reliable people, who understand businesses and the economic landscape in NZ.

6. Can you help with payroll management?

Yes. We offer comprehensive payroll services, including onboarding/offboarding employees, processing payroll, managing employee benefits, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

7. Do you handle tax returns?

Absolutely. We are registered Tax Agents with Inland Revenue and prepare and file tax returns for small businesses, ensuring all deductions and credits are accurately applied to maximise your tax savings. We can also prepare annual accounts & tax returns. For more complex business structures involving multiple entities or international tax, we will refer you to a trusted referral partner.

8. Are you accredited?

We are associate members of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers NZ, which is a governing board for bookkeepers in NZ. We are also registered Tax Agents and Intermediaries with Inland Revenue.

9. Are you Chartered Accountants?

No. We are not Chartered Accountants. We are not required to be Chartered Accountants in order to provide the level of services we provide. If one is required, we will refer you to a trusted referral partner.

10. Can you give financial advice?

No. We are not Financial Advisors and cannot give financial advice. If financial advice is required, we will refer you to a trusted referral partner.

11. Do you provide returns for properties?

If you have a property that requires annual accounts & tax returns, we will refer you to a trusted referral partner.

12. Do you service trusts and non-profit organisations?

Yes. We can provide monthly services as well as annual accounts & tax returns to trusts (also charitable) and non-profits. Although, if you have a property that requires annual accounts & tax returns, we will refer you to a trusted referral partner.

13. Do you help special purpose entities (SPVs/SPEs) and production companies?

Yes. We can provide monthly services tailored to your needs. Our team is trained in production accounting so we can provide expert support in this area.

14. Am I locked into a contract with your monthly plans?

No. You are welcome to cancel your monthly services with us at anytime, giving us 7-days written notice, by sending an email to kiaora@rautakibookkeeping.com.

15. What if my business cannot yet afford your monthly plans?

We recommend utilising our free and affordable resources found at our Business Hub to help you with the support you need to grow your revenue.

16. What accounting software do you partner with?

We are proud partners of Xero accounting software. We are also Xero & Xero Payroll Advisers and Silver Champions.

16. Can you support my business using any other accounting software?

At this stage, we only partner with Xero and can help to migrate your business from another accounting platform.

Our fees vary depending on the services you require. We offer competitive pricing and will provide a detailed quote after our initial consultation.

Yes, we prioritise the security of your financial information. We use encrypted, cloud-based software to ensure your data is protected at all times. All our meetings via video call are recorded and a copy can be supplied upon request by a participant.
